MEET BECCA

Based in SLO, CA, I started as a photo editor and eventually launchd myself into the wonders of the wedding industry.

Vintage tones and moody vibes are the heart of my brand. A hint of grain is my signature style.

A bit about me

Hey! I'm Becca

Born and raised on the CA Central Coast, I thrive in this homeland full of beauty, history and gorgeous landscapes.

My photography journey started when I was very young. I grew up without internet in the back country of east Templeton and was forced to exercise my imagination in order to bring my ideas to life. Special shout out to my sister who would model for me while I photographed with my moms Canon PowerShot 4.0mp circa 2005.

I was obsessed with editorial photography in particular so using many costume pieces given to me by my great aunt, along with the clothes I'd sew myself, I would set up scenes and try to mimic shoots I saw laid out on the pages of Vogue, Elle and other publications.

Eventually I was gifted my first DSLR, a Canon Rebel T3i (ahhhh the good ole days) and since then I've been unstoppable. In 2017, I took home first place overall in the Cuesta College art competition for a black & white film photo I took. Shortly after, I started second shooting for my cousin, Melissa Jean Photography, on weddings and eventually worked under various other photographers in the area. More notably, I spent the last 8 years as an editor for a couple local photographers where I learned the value of composition in camera before applying edits in post production.

Being an editor by far made me a better photographer and as I was allowed more opportunities to second shoot weddings I realized I really thrived in the chaos of the wedding industry.

Today, I love working within the SLO wedding industry in multiple capacities whether that be shooting, assisting local planners, doing content creation for brides or even dabbling in signage. I believe being well versed within the industry is my super power making me not only a more valuable photographer but a valuable resource overall. I am so happy to offer planning assistance, advice and expertise to all clients who book with me as a perk and could not be more excited to continue thriving in this space.

If you're interested in knowing more, please get in touch as I am always open to making new friends and contacts and sharing the knowledge of all things creative!

Beck
